Not a suburb. I live in San Antonio proper, mijo
And I've also lived in Universal City proper and in SA between Converse and Kirby. Also Randolph AFB proper.
Try once more

I don't spend all of my time in cities so maybe that is the problem.

And southwest Virginia doesn't define Virginia. Which was my point.

Yeah... You've lived in Universal City and outside 1604 which are the transplant areas. That's exactly what I'm talking about.

But speaking of San Antonio apparently they are debating changing the cigarette age to 21. The big government is coming. I've started to like the idea of raising my kids here one day but if it becomes another Austin that isn't gonna happen.

I lived in Cochise County, AZ, not Phoenix. The culture was nothing like the deep south.

Oh God now he's tryna pull the inside/outside loop 1604 bullshite
You try so hard
Also lived in the Medical Center area and just off Lackland AFB, but, hey, I'm sure you have some trite bs to try to invalidate that in your little brain, too

South Carolina was the 1st and second state to secede. How is this "ok to be considered south"?

My dad lives outside of the loop, there are pros and cons for each, but my point is that the cultures are very different. It's impossible to have a rational conversation with you cause you freak out about every thing I say. I'm out.

That was a big reason I wanted to move back here. Great town to raise a family in.

We have to do everything we can to keep Austin culture from festering down here. frick them.

Same as Marshall, Carthage, Mineola even closer into Dallas like Greenville and sulphur springs. I work in East Texas, they're all the same.

Virginia with the exception of the NVA DC suburbs is still very much southern.
I think you people just regurgitate things you've heard other people say. (General statement. Not directed at you Dropout)
Texas is Texas. It is not "The South".
Texas is more like a "friend to The South".

I’ve always considered Virginia to be a “buffer” State, for lack of a better word. It’s not quite the south, but it definitely isn’t the north either. It’s a nice buffer between the two.

VA transitions to the north quite smoothly, I agree.
