My vote is on Alabama

Mine is right here in Louisiana. Too many old conservatives that think when you smke a joint you're going to go out and shoot up a church. Pathetic. And by the way i'm a GOP conservative too but I can enjoy smoking a good quality joint.
I grew up in seventies and eighties. We smoked a lot back then.

Texas is probably a good answer. They don't need the money and have a conservative populace.

And yet democrats are mayors in Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio.

Didn't Baton Rouge recently pass a law that made the possession of a small amount of marijuana just a ticket?
The Metro Council was discussing taking up the measure, but I don't know if it's moved beyond that phase just yet. It said they were talking with community leaders and pastors (yikes), but that was months ago. Haven't heard anything further.

As for Mississippi, I knew they decriminalized, but didn't they go back on that legislation?

Yeah, 9/10 major metropolitan areas are going to have one or two very liberal districts inner-city, regardless of state color, this does not include Texas, which hasn't had a democratic statewide office since the 90's

Also, mayors have absolutely zero authority outside their districts, and I'm willing to bet their districts (above mentioned) are < 10% of districts statewide

Arkansas is going to legalize very soon imo. It's been on the ballots for medicinal use and barely lost

It'll be legalized at the federal level before the last state legalizes it.

Just as several states have “dry” counties despite the fact alcohol is legal at the federal level, I think we will see the same thing when it comes to pot.

Deep South states, my money is on Mississippi but wouldn't be surprised if Alabama or Louisiana was. It seems like redneck boomer types are the most opposed to it.
