Just in the name of accuracy. If you write their name it's proper to capitalize SEAL.

SEALs-Army SF that can swim. Although they have different missions than SF, they recieve similar training and are not on the level of Delta unless we're talking about DEVGRU.
Army SF/Marine Marsoc- Same thing
Delta- The shite you'll never hear about
Air Force PJs- legit training. Mission history? frickin LOL
Army Rangers-Pretty badass from my experience. Comparable to Marine Infantry IMO. Although Rangers have a bigger budget and get cooler shite/better ops.
Marine Recon- Tries to emulate SEAL training but they simply don't get the same time or budget. Pretty underrated group all around.
Any more questions, just go to your local bar and talk to one of the SEALs there. They'll be the one at the bar telling every. single. person. in there that they were/are a SEAL.

They have some specialized groups that are mixes of the best of the best that go through some very specialized training on top of what they already have. So probably them.

Yeah it's hard to make an apples to apples comparison because some are entry level and some are a ramp up of existing condition, i.e. you're already trained and a badass when you enter.

I know, and SF Q-school is an 18 month course, after you've already completed a 17 week infantry OSUT, and a 24 day selection process.

SEALs don't get as extensive training in the languages, medic, or weaponry but SQT is no joke from what i've been told. Different missions, but I feel it's a pretty accurate statement.
I've worked with ODA on training ops, but didn't deploy with them. Some "dog handler" buddies of mine went to the Ghan with them though. Very humble group compared to the others out there. All around some pretty good guys.

The baddest branch is the branch none of us has ever heard about. They are out there. They're are some that work alone. Anyway that was told to me by an ex SF guy i used to know.

I was directing my comment to your "but can swim" post. There are designated SCUBA/Dive teams in SF.

Army Rangers are NOT the same thing as Marine infantry lol.

I was aware of that but didn't think it was mandatory. Just more of a voluntary training if you wanted to get your dive bubble or work with a maritime capable unit.

CIA Special Activities Division LINK
You can't go any higher than them. The best of the best. They are legitimate Jason Bourne dudes.
Select from the best of these guys
And learn this

No, but comparing Marine infantry to Rangers would be a better comparison than comparing Marine infantry to Army infantry.

SEALs and Army SF are worlds apart. They shouldn't even be compared side by side.
Posted on 8/11/16 at 9:23 am to GeauxxxTigers23
Why is that? So you're telling me that Marine infantrymen are better than the guys in the 82d and the 101st? I have enjoyed working with Marine Corp infantry and they are good, but not better than any of those other guys.

Sorry. I wasn't aware there were so many Tier 1 operators on this board. Figured I could provide some insight since i've worked with a lot of those. Clearly you guys' "friend who was a Ranger, then SEAL, then Delta during Nam" would have more insight.
