As of today, we are putting our son on a route through St. Michael's. But he's very young and that could change. I don't have a problem with Catholic. But I'm not sure about your aversion to SJA if Catholic is okay. U High would be ideal, IMO. Episcopal is... different. Park View isn't bad; I'm just biased.

Chs/Sja if your kid is comfortable with being small fish in a big pond

Episcopal if you have the 15k a year

Uhigh if you have the hook up

I'm biased to the Catholic schools though

Teenage girls are the worst bullies on earth. So just imagine a school with nothing but girls and old money girls at that.

Every friend and relative I have that went to SJA from the 70's until recently absolutely hated it there and wanted to transfer out.

I wouldn't want to subject my daughter to that.

All are great. Catholic / SJA is probably your best bang for your buck imo.

Episcopal -- if you can afford it, is a very good school as well.

I thought it was more than that. And if I'm getting up to that kind of money, I'm starting to look at some top of the line full boarding schools. You can send your kids to some of the best prep schools in the country for 50k a year and you don't even have to feed or shelter them! I would totally do it because I'm lazy, but nobody could call me on it because they'd be getting the best education available. They'd actually think I was a "good" parent.

West Feliciana. Great schools, great sense of community and kids get to grow up normal. We are extremely pleased with it. My daughter graduated from WFHS and started at LSU with 48 college credit hours. Sons get to play any sport they want and are doing well academically as well. Plus, if you dont pay tuition, you might be able to afford to buy a house up there.

I have put 3 daughters through SJA and have nothing but great things to say about it. It's not right for everybody but as my wife and I are both Catholic and in my opinion SJA is the best school for catholic girls we decided on that. Nothing bad to say about others but we have been very happy.
