Some are getting up close to 200

I mean, I guess its possible. You pull a kill switch at speed and its like pulling a ripcord on a parachute. Couple that with the boat hooking (turning sharp) enough to throw people out and its tough to imagine it making that turn and going that far up onto land while not under power.

I had a Bass Cat that hit 75, I could only imagine what it's like doing 200 on the water.

My boat doesn't like to go over 35.
When I was out at the Dell Match Play a few weeks ago I saw some tiny Allison with a giant 300 on the back. That thing must move.

WBRZ story says nobody was ejected from the boat.

I've ridden in an Allison like that, it did just north of 100.
It wasn't very pleasant riding in the passenger seat...

His previous boat was a DCB and I was with him in 2017 when he had it going 159 mph (see attached video). The next year a local married couple flipped their DCB on Havasu and died. Love speed but that's not for me.
It really is just completely ignorant when you consider that when a car is designed to go that fast, a lot of engineering consideration goes into downdraft in order for it stay on the road surface. In a boat, speed is achieved primarily thru getting as much of the boat OFF the water surface as possible.
From a safety perspective, it is the equivalent of designing a life jacket out of lead.

I wonder if alcohol was involved...

That's correct, no one was ejected. Let's just say there were two boats before this incident happened...

Well if no one was ejected, it’s crazy how all passengers survived that shite..

Drag race?
What kind of idiot would ride as a passenger on a boat, racing like that? Besides drugged up whores.

I trust the boat owner met their insurance deductible?

This should go on the Qualified captain

Those catamarans have a tendency to run flat, my guess the captain trimmed it down too low in the turn and at 130mph causing it to hook ejecting the passengers..
Compared to a V hull they also turn flat, first time you experience it is very strange.
Your explanation, especially at speed is the likely cause.
Why he was running that fast in the Tickfaw is a whole other story.
Stupidity would be first on my list.
