They shut it down entirely after the 2005-2006 year.
Bobby Jindal used it as his headquarters before he took office. I think the first couple of floors were redone, but it's basically been a storage locker since 2006.

Not entirely on topic but do they still have computer labs in the library and other buildings? I'd imagine everyone carries a laptop now or else uses a tablet or phone.

As of around 2010-2011 a good bit of it was still being used as the HQ for the LSU Hospital System. Not sure after that.

Kirby Smith floors like 1-7 were remodeled and started to be used again in fall of 11. I lived there for spring of 2012, was actually nicer than evangeline, the dorm I lived in during the fall.
