I did SC Boys State at the Citadel in 2002. I was a Federalist from Enoree (our groups are named after rivers) and a Senator.

Only WaPo can get their panties in a twist over Boys State.

WaPo should burn in flames.

1995, don't remember a party. Feliciana, Franklin, CANE CANE!!

Don't remember an office. One guy in our group got in a fight and was asked to leave. We rallied and won the Govenorship. Good times.

Rick Perry moment.

MY HS football coach learned that i would miss a couple days of 2-a-day practices, so he told the Guidance Counselor that I couldn't go. Nobody told me until after it was over.

I was nominated to go to boys state and declined the invite. The school sat me down and said that I was turning down a golden opportunity.

I said thanks but no thanks, and I am confident that I made the right decision.

I went the summer of '95. City was Orleans, if I remember right and I don't have a clue what my job was.

All I remember was making fun of all the other chants when we all lined up for anything.

1992. Cain, Franklin City

I was public defender. Put a guy on trial for raping a cockroach. I said the roach never said no so consent was implied. Jury agreed.

Doubt we could get away with that now

Slept about 1.5 hrs per night.

Still have a shirt signed by the guys in my group. Also still have a Girls State shirt

1983. I don't remember many details but I think I was a city judge. I do remember having a great time and getting very little sleep.
