The Plaquemine to St Gabriel location is pretty good real estatewise. The biggest problem that I see with it is there is no major feeder nearby on the east side. You can catch La1 and I-10 easily enough on the west side. It would be hell to get to I-10 on the east side

Whatever lets Houston to Nola traffic bypass Baton Rouge.

Huh? Why would a northern bypass be more expensive? You overlay Hooper Rd for much of it and tie into where the old bridge is near 110. Still need a new bridge next to it but you piggyback on what's there. Already a nice barely used set of infrastructure nearby. Traffic on i110 is not bad at all.

This is exactly why it never gets done.
1. People hate traffic. Want a new bridge.
2. Locations proposed.
3. NIMBY’s come out from all proposed locations.
4. Nothing gets done because of #3.

Option 1 and 2 would make traffic on lee/college, staring/Essen, bluebonnet, and Siegen apocalyptic.
