Which is the quintessential fall holiday? Labor Day, Halloween, or Thanksgiving?

Labor Day sort of symbolizes the start of fall.
Halloween is towards the mid/late part of the season.
Thanksgiving sort of ushers in the holidays.

Thanksgiving because it is just a hop skip and a jump away from Christmas work break!
It is also cooler than the other two.

Doesn't Fall begin on the 21st?

I see Labor Day more as the end of summer.

Thanksgiving without a doubt.
It's a holiday colored by the change in seasons, celebrating fall harvest and plenty, as well as family. Nothing screams Fall like Thanksgiving with a crisp chill in the air.
Labor day is still summer.
Halloween can often still be 75 degrees with 90% humidity at night. That is not Fall, but I could see the argument that it basically starts it.

It has to be thanksgiving.
Labor day isn't really fall, halloween has fall weather but I mean it's whatever...thanksgiving is old school as frick, you get 2 days off work (lots of people do anyway), you're with your family (could be a negative for some folks but whatever), there's football on TV, and you eat until you can't move.
That's what a holiday is all about.

Fall season in the Northern Hemisphere starts September 23 and ends Monday December 21.
That being said, I'm gonna have to say Halloween is more of a fall holiday. October/November is my favorite time of the year

Halloween.
It's fun, not mandatory. + the weather is spot on around that time, from a long summer..which just "feels better".

exactly. Sure Thanksgiving is better weather, but around Halloween comes the deep blue skies, fresh breeze, long shadows, etc.
