this ^^^^^^^
it also makes it harder to see anything when your windshield is lit up by those flashers

The ones with flashers are worse.
But people who slam their breaks when they see a cop, car accident, or rain drops are just as stupid.

On the other side of that coin, those that adjust their driving to the conditions TOO much - to the point that it's equally dangerous.
Was driving on I-40 maybe 15 mins AFTER a heavy rain the other day, where the interstate is 3 lanes wide. It was still raining but not like the torrential downpour that it had been. Traffic was generally moving 60 mph in the slowest lane and 70ish in the fast lane, the speed limit is 75.
I was in the fast lane in a line of cars doing about 70, then had to switch lanes to the right in order to prepare for my exit a few miles up the road. I'm watching traffic ahead and looking in my mirrors, coast is clear and the middle lane is wide open.
I move over and no less than 5 seconds later, have to slam on my brakes. This idiot is going 40!! in the middle lane. 40... on the interstate.
I was able to avoid going straight up the arse of their car by sheer luck and quick braking, then darting over to the next lane to the right which was luckily wide open. The 18 wheeler way behind me was not so lucky. I'm not sure what eventually came of it, but there's crews still there several days later cleaning up the median where the truck apparently laid on its side and spilled whatever it was carrying.
What the frick is wrong with people like that?!?

I hate everyone else who is driving besides me. The weather conditions are a factor but, I still hate other drivers.

The ones who drive with their flashers on or the ones who drive with their brights on?
Only logical answer is brights. Even though it is illegal and I don't do it. I can see the reasoning that flashers make you more visible to other drivers in heavy rain. Having your brights isn't going help you see better in anyway so IMO these guys are the biggest idiots.

The ones with the slick tires and dry rotted wipers

The ones who don't slow down and stop texting

You are correct but you have to think it through. Have you ever seen a state trooper pulling people over in the rain for speeding unless they ran them off the road? I think not. The heavier it rains, the faster you should go. When those tires break the surface of the road during the hydroplane mode, that’s when you speed goes into warp drive and your mileage doubles. You must learn to take advantage of Mother Nature’s gifts!

Pickup trucks are the worst in ice and snow. Most think their tires make them safer, but they don't realize they have no weight on their back wheels. Used to have fun pulling them out of ditches with the wrecker.

In NELA the least bit of rain makes drivers freak out. When it’s snowing or sleeting, they’re even worse.

I don’t know why more people don’t put Rain-X on their windshields. The increased visibility alone enables people to drive faster more safely in inclement weather. I see so many people who don’t use it driving on the interstate at 45 mph with emergency blinkers, wipers on full blast, but still barely able to see anything. It’s dangerous.
