Around 6 p.m., a man armed with a gun walked up to SnoWizard SnoBall Shoppe at 4001 Magazine Street and demanded money from the cash register, according to a NOPD police report.

Surveillance video from SnoWizard showed a man riding on a bicycle. The man leaned the teal "cruiser" bike against fence. When the manager of the stand opened the window to serve the man, the robber pulled the gun out.

When the robber made his demand and pointed the weapon at the store clerk's head, the employee ran to the back of the store and the robber grabbed the tip jar before running off, police said.

According to SnoWizard, the robber made off with less $20. The suspect is a white male, 40 to 50 years old, 160 pounds, 5-feet-10, salt and pepper hair with a pony tail. The suspect also had a mustache and goatee with tattoos on his calves. He was wearing a gray t-shirt, brown sandals, dark green shorts, and a black Calloway hat.
