I'm not trying to conceal at that point. I can literally have my hand on my pistol and out of the holster within a second. It's actually a nice fluid movement.

Is that your own holster with the Gum Creek adaptor or is it their holster & adaptor?

My holster. I bought just the mount and used an extra holster that I already had laying around... Uncle Mike's I think.

Gotcha. I'm trying to decide which pistol to carry in my truck between my Glock 22, Ruger LC9 or XDS 45. I bought the XDS to conceal carry, but I decided not to. I may carry that in my truck since it is the most compact of the 3

Yeah just buy the mount and get a cheaper Uncle Mike's from Academy or something. If you do buy the mount keep in mind that it's kind of a pain in the arse to take the holster on/off. You wouldn't want to do it every time you took the gun out of your vehicle.
I keep that holster in my truck all the time and I have a couple of other holsters I can use if I need to carry.

No clue--I've never felt like I should have a gun in my car. Seems like tremendous liability.

This can be a real issue, as I've had it before. It is easily solved though with the correct holster. I have one now that doesn't slide at all.

I have never needed a gun in my life, but Poors have stolen shite out of my car a good dozen times, and I forget things like cash in cars, so I assume the gun would be no different.

I keep mine in the door panel. I'd love to have that setup under the steering wheel, but I'm worried it would be stolen with it so visible.

I slide it right out and open when in the truck.

Well I'll be getting one of those now. I have mine in my glovebox. Which is where it will need to be when I'm on campus (outside of my car)
