In places where all-cause mortality is higher than normal (NY) - this would imply that heart attacks that would happen in June/July are happening earlier. Would be easy to tell if rates remain unexpectedly low throughout the summer.

The other decision people could make instantly is to start taking their prescribed medications appropriately, but 40-60% of people making that instantaneous switch also seems kind've high.

I don't know shite about chicken imports, but a quick google learnt me this.

The United States is the largest poultry producer in the world.

Just before the current administration allowed China to sell the US cooked chicken (precooked nuggets and such) from birds raised in China, it was said "Currently, 99 percent of chicken consumed in the U.S. is raised in the U.S." LINK

The US wanted to sell beef to China (which China had banned since mad cow days) as well as liquefied natural gas, and Trump agreed in exchange that they could sell us cooked chicken from birds raised in China.

Before that, China could sell us cooked chicken, but the birds had to be raised and slaughtered in Canada, Chile or the United States.

We don't let them sell us raw chicken, because of concerns avian influenza could be transmitted from raw poultry to the United States flocks. LINK LINK

So we're not getting "a lot" of our chicken from China. Just some of our pre-cooked products.
