Chris would semi-personalize it by telling about a friend of his who was driving in traffic and got caught behind an older driver who drove reeeeelly slow and six very long paragraphs later he would ask if anyone else ever had the same experience, especially involving their favorite condiment.

Where do old people hang out?

I hear they like to hang at the hospital. That way, if they do too much drugs or sex in the parking lot, they are already at the place they need to be.

Doctor's appointments.

This is the correct answer. When a person retires, they should do all they can, and vacation as much as possible, prior to reaching 70 years old. After that, most of your driving will be to a doctor's appointment of one kind or another.

My grandfather used to get up early and go to a little diner and have coffee, read the newspaper and talk with other old timers about local news and stuff. It was a daily routine.

I think that's in the old man bylaws. Mine used to wake up at the asscrack of the day so he could drink coffee where the fishermen would get their supplies for the day. These were dudes whose boat would be on the water and ready to go before sunrise so they could be fishing the moment of sunrise.

Then, he'd go to the local cafe where the guys on their way to their morning shifts would stop and drink coffee before work.

Finally, he'd go to Burger King where all the old men would gather to eat breakfast and drink coffee. I don't know why Burger King. It just was.

Then, he'd come home and sleep all day.

Old men are strange creatures.

I’m sorry. I wish I could afford to retire, and promise I would stay home and out of your way.

I'll just hide down in the sunken den and wait for you to fall down the stairs and break a hip trying to get to me.
