FWIW, I’m sorry that happened to you. Domestic violence is not okay, and I hope the person who hurt you is prosecuted for it. Abstractly I understand that when you feel victimized the instinct of keeping everyone at arms length until you feel safe is a tactic, but acting like a giant Brillo pad to a bunch of strangers on the internet isn’t necessary to that goal, and being that abrasive isn’t healthy.
Everything that you said is correct. I can argue with none of it.
FWIW, it was my ex-husband. We’ve been divorced for two years. I never saw it coming, although he couldn’t manage to leave me alone.
