Why take a test and get the results in 10 days?
What a waste of time.

Who's doing that?

We had a possible exposure at work and several of us had to get tested. We got the standard tests that they said could take 2-3 days or longer and all got results within 26 hours.

Mon-weds is the best time to get tested at an urgent care, most of them get new test kits early in the week then they’re out by midweek

The tests are giving false results almost half the time anyway. Pointless.

They're as unreliable as it gets. Waste of time.

If your not sick. Don’t get tested. It’s really simple.

Coworker was told they’re only for high risk people. We absolutely can’t find anywhere that’ll give a health 30 year old a rapid test.

If you feel sick, drink plenty of fluids and rest.

If you're having trouble breathing, go to the doctor.

15 minute tests by Quidel, BD, and Abbott are accurate. The government recently pulled 90% of analyzers for these tests and distributed them to nursing homes. LINK

I work in distribution sales for the largest medical company in the world. If a physician does not currently have one of these analyzers in-house, they are looking at 8-12 weeks before their analyzer is delivered/installed.

I have numerous physician offices that signed contracts with me in June that won't receive analyzers and tests until October.

There is 0 truth to the "early in the week" theory in this thread.
