I buy a seat and prefer to sit. I have a bad back and can’t stand for long periods. Nothing worse than an inconsiderate prick standing and dancing in front of me blocking my view. Get off my lawn.

Well you don’t need a willing partner. Consent is not a prerequisite.

I go to mostly punk rock, metal and indie rock shows. Since I'm older now, I mostly stand in the back where I can see everything, where the sound is better and where idiots aren't bumping into me and spilling my drink. But if I get super wasted and it's one of my favorite bands, I'll jump in the pit and slam around like an idiot, like I did in my 20s. At least for a couple songs.

Rock/country concerts is usually a standing in place head bob to the beat dance.
