I didn't say I has a problem with it but rest assured that cop is going to get in trouble. A cop protecting himself with his fists and you and I protecting ourselves with our fists are not even in the same world. They are trained to neutralize, which if your trained is easier to take someone down than with your fist.
Again, I have zero problem with the face punch, Im just being rational in saying that's not the way he is taught to deal with those situations and he'll probably get in trouble for it.

Columbus is pretty white compared to most cities but still has some black folks. The whitest parts are the surrounding areas like Hilliard and Dublin. I lived in Dublin for a year and I am not exaggerating when I say it was very rare to ever see a brother or a sister. Milk white I tell ya

It’s neat how cops roll up into people’s neighborhoods and beat them up and then wonder why people in those neighborhoods don’t like or trust them.
Also neat how a small portion of the population commits most of the crime and then members of that cohort pretend to be surprised when cops don’t trust them.

I side with the cop for sure. I'm glad he knocked the shite out of that guy but the fact remains. He fricked up.
That cop knows the world he lives in. He knows he can't do that shite but he did it anyway. One way or another, he's gonna pay for it.

Use of of force continuum allows for empty hand control tactics including hard tactics that include punches, kicks, and knee strikes.
The next level on the continuum is when pepper spray, taser, and baton strikes becomes an option.
