When will hospitals stop being so anal about covid?

My dad is in the hospital for something that appears to be entirely unrelated to covid but he tests positive. So to visit him, we are basically required to wear a hazmat suit, only a slight exaggeration. We need gowns, N95 masks, and gloves.
We took absolutely zero precautions when he was home last week but now you would think he was radioactive.
Is this going to continue in hospitals forever? Most of the world is back to normal but some of these restrictions are absolutely loony tunes.

It's a crime. How many people are avoiding the doctor/hospital?

Nobody that I know of.
I wouldn’t fly because of the mask mandate and my wife has been pissed at me

Could be worse. Some wives wanted a kid the last two years but agreed with you on masks.

They'll never admit they were wrong.
So never.
Admitting COVID is inevitable for everyone. Won't ever go away. It would be admitting they were all wrong. The egos n healthcare, won't stand for it.

No entity in human history willfully gives up power once attained. Covid hysteria is a form of power, they will never give it up willingly.

I don’t think i’ve had it. Wife and I have had some nasty colds this year because of young kiddos in daycare, but no specific COVID symptoms.

Covid is a cold pretty much, you wouldnt know

i don’t doubt that.
well if that’s all COVID has, the leftover hysteria at this point is fricking pointless. doesn’t mean hospitals and COVIDIANS are going to change their protocols any time soon.

Its pretty much mutated to a mild cold (as everyone with a brain knew it would)

Just listen to 80 year old Lord Fauci and he’ll let you know when it’s ok to not wear your mask everywhere you go.

Never tested positive given the few tests I’ve taken. But I’m fairly certain I had it after the LSU natty in Nola back in Feb 2020.
