I check mine about once per month. My older brother was diagnosed with testicular cancer when he was 17. He had one testicle removed which the tumor was the size of a grapefruit and it have spread to his lungs and lymphnodes and was heading towards his brain. This was back in 1997 and he made a full recovery. I understand that it is one of the most aggressive and fast moving cancers, but it is also one of the most curable. You are also at an increased risk if you had a hernia when you were younger which my brother had when he was three. My parents asked him why he didn't mention when one of his boys got as big as it did and he just said he thought it was normal.

I don't know how to do a proper exam. Are there videos I can watch?

It'll feel like a little pea or pebble that shouldn't be there. Some guys get several when it is more advanced.

Which I found I had at the age of 15/16. They told me it wasn't cancerous then. It hasn't gotten any bigger and it's been over a decade since.

I found a lump on my testicle when I was about 14 and had to have a gamut of tests done. Still one of the most miserable experiences of my life.

2 weeks ago. Started having a sharp pain in the right side of my boys anytime I moved. Ultrasound and urologist trip showed it was trauma from dick riding and it'll slowly go away with time. Scared me bad though.

So is it a lump on the testicle or like a very small extra testicle in the sac?

I had both of mine removed. I didn't want to take the risk of getting ball cancer

Did insurance pay for that? Was there anything else going on with your health, or you just randomly wants your balls removed and a dr did it?

yes, a pea size lump on the testicle...last year I was having discomfort around my boys and found a lump on one of my boys, had it checked, luckily it was only a cyst. Dr asked if i wanted it lanced, told him nope I'll live with the discomfort

Had a vasectomy last week. I am sure the nurse that shaved my sac or the doc that manhandled my balls for 20 minutes would have mentioned it.

It is on the testicle itself. Hold your testicle between both index fingers and thumbs. With your thumbs, rub/lightly squeeze the testicle feeling for lumps or bumps.

Testicluar cysts are common. I was told mine was a cyst by my GP but birches until he ordered an ultrasound and an appointment with a urologist. Thank God I did.

What was the end result? I had the ultrasound done by a urologist and he said I was good and to let someone know if it gets bigger or develops pain.

I had my urologist check me out when I had a vasectomy performed on me several weeks ago. That was the first time I had a professional look at my boys in a very long time (at least 5 years).

All is well. And after having a vasectomy and the humiliation of having my penis taped to my stomach, getting my nuts felt on next time will be easy.

For me? My urologist determined that I cancer and not a cyst.

If you have a cyst and no pain, all is well. You can have it removed or not. If it changes sizes or starts to hurt, go back. DO NOT keep it to yourself.
