Say a kid is minding his own bidness at a public place playing on his own iPad and a runt comes to him making small chat and expects it to leading to the kid sharing his iPad with him and being extremely annoying about it, do you push your kid to share or to hell with that kid?

My kid won't own an iPad until they are old enough to understand the value in them.

If my kid had my tablet and some kid wanted it (assuming the other kid isn't a sibling,) I would tell the little bastard to frick off and get his own. Sorry, you don't share something like that with other kids.

1. Kid shouldn't have an iPad
2. I sure in the hell wouldn't expect him to share a device like that with a stranger.

My kid won your kid's iPad in a poker game fair and square.

To hell with that kid

Both my kids (6 and 11) have ipads and laptops, and my 11 year old has an iphone. The reason I have the computer knowledge and skills I have is because my parents started letting me have techy gadgets as young as 6. Had my first PC at 6 in 1985 and it went from there. Had every electronic I ever wanted and was taught their value very young because I had parents that had a clue.

Also, if you are worried about your kids tearing up an ipad, sorry you're so poor.

ETA: Kids play with tablets all the time now, particularly the ones with kid cases and learning programs.

It is no different than a game boy or V-TECH device from the 90s and 00s.

Actually kinda ran into something similar at Celebration Station. Brought the little one there with his allowance money and some junior panhandler asked him for some tokens. He said "Dad I'm supposed to share?", I replied "usually". He got the hint, frick freeloading kids and frick their shitty parents.

Letting him spend his allowance at Celebration Station? Yeah we're a trashy family. But frick those parents raising their kid to panhandle at age eight.
