It's the amperage not the voltage that gets you.

Capacitors are the worst though. You can turn a breaker off and still got shocked by those bastards. The ones in microwaves can kill.

Most dishwashers are going to DC for all the components, so no harm leaving that on. 24vDC ain't going to bother you.

Not much really. Harder to diagnose, because you have to know to look for DC instead of AC, but in my findings they are more modular, meaning you can change most things from the front.

(unless it's a Korean, German or Swedish DW, then you have to take it out and flip it over to do anything)

Repair wise, I keep them hit, because I know only the PCB and maybe the motor have AC voltage going to them.
The negative is, in houses with rodents they love chewing up those wires, and since they don't get shocked they eat them up.

In my defense: I am the third owner of the house, I did not label the fuse box, and I did not know enough about wiring or dishwashers to attempt to install it myself.

I was pretty sure the fuse was mislabeled as soon as the repairman started rolling on my kitchen floor.
