My entire family was raised with very southern, conservative Christian values. My nephew was an Army brat, they moved all over the world. My brother and his wife divorced about 10-15 years ago. Two kids 18 and 16, I think at time of divorce
My nephew has always been somewhat introverted since being a kid. Tried the Army, was booted out because of medical
Went to college got his bachelors became a star in IT. Very successful
Married a successful woman in her own right. Intelligent. Looked like his twin, so much so, I called them, the Levi's, his first name. Although they lived 3 hours away, we tried to have a relationship. Went to football games, invited them over when they were near. All's cool
They couldn't have kids so they were foster parents for awhile and eventually adopted him. Troubled kid with violence in his past. They drifted apart at this time and lost contact other than fb
Eventually they adopted another boy and seemed happy and content via fb
Fast forward and we find out yesterday morning the wife is dead, murdered. Initially we thought the first adopted did it and later learned he was not at home
When the truth comes out, sadly, we learn that my nephew murdered his wife and attempted to murder his son

A neighbor heard a child screaming "Help me, please help me". He called EMS. When the fire fighters extenguished the flames the found my nephews wife dead in a back bedroom and called police
Upon arrival there were no adults on-scene. Then my nephew rolls up saying he went to get meds for the wife. They take him and kid for questioning
Come to find out the kid told them that he saw his Dad "messing" with smoke alarms a day prior. They had some cameras in the house that were not functioning. On the morning of fire, the kid was awakend by a dog barking, thank God , and broke a window to get out. My nephew took his dog with him to store and left her dog behind.
Eventually we find out she died from multiple stab wounds to face and body. Brutal
He was a very, very intelligent guy and was very stupid in attempting a double homocide. Like he wanted to get caught.
He pled not guilty. Dumbass! I hope he burns in hell! Shocked. It's been 32_hours and still crying. Never thought it would happen to me. Tough times. F the devil
