but on the whole, protecting his kids from a silly fight over a fricking baseball was probably the "bigger" point and, as I said, it all worked out. I am happy for the family and the kid in particular.
Yeah.
That's what I said.

quote:Exactly. She wasn't going to back down, and she was going to escalate it. It's a great lesson to his son to say to her "here's your prized ball, you clearly need this more than anyone else" and move on with your day and have a strange story the rest of your life.
But I also understand the dad not wanting to make a scene in front of his kid

No it’s not
You tried to blame the guy for running to get the ball like you were a person who’d never seen a baseball game before

Dad handled it great. That kind of person wants you to escalate things so she can play the victim and come after you. She’s like the Westboro Baptist of Baseball and would’ve been the type to try to press charges against the Dad if he really retaliated.
But because Dad handled it like a grown arse man refusing to engage, his kid got all kinds of great shite from the Marlins and the Phillies. He and his family got to stay at the game. And crazy lady got doxxed and is being widely shamed/ridiculed across the human spectrum.

Anyone can get inadvertently startled like that. He wasn’t expecting someone to chase him down. It’s subconscious whether it’s a Karen or a fricking tiger.
He traveled to Miami and got a ball on his kids birthday. He was having a moment with his son when that pyscho ran up on him

Her entire appearance gives it away. She's probably on a bunch of crazy pills too.

Eh.
It definitely worked out well

It almost looked fake how the dad acted. Like an over acted cheap broadway production with how he flailed his arms and his facial expression when she touched his arm

Philadelphia sports fans are by far the worst in the world.

In todays influencer age, its hard as hell to tell real from staged anymore. I've been fooled many times.
I'd like to think its real because if staged its really cringe worthy on both parties.

What kind of grown man makes that “startled” motion when the Karen approached? Yikes.

Contrarian take but he went a little far to snag that ball.
He got it fair and square after it hit the ground but I'm not a fan of people from other sections converging on every ball hit in the stands.
She overreacted and deserves the ridicule, but looking at the other side of it, if I was sitting in my seats with my kid and a ball came right at us and he was going for it, then some dude from another section sprinted in and grabbed it I'd be a little perturbed.
