Glad to hear it. Maybe you’re one of the lucky ones.
I was a spoiled only child when I got married and my wife was the second oldest of five kids. Our perception of how things should be were completely different.

Lots of women say this as well.

Reflective happiness. Like running a marathon, or climbing Mt. Everest.

The math just doesn't add up for me.

It's in people's nature to bitch. They don't post about mundane happy shite because no one else cares.

It’s not about being submissive but being respectful of each other feelings and putting each other before themselves. Pride is a big pull to swallow for most people men and women alike.

If we go by human nature and prime instincts id gander to say a healthy relationship is one where both husband and wife respect each other and the woman is submissive to a husband who in turn takes responsibility for the household.

We've been through things like that, but that's just life stuff that people go through single or as a married couple. If you're referring to compromise, well, as long as both partners are willing, then there aren't many hurdles difficult to scale.

Guess it boils down to finding a partner that respects marriage, is a decent and unselfish person, and is compatible with your personality style.

Everyone changes. Learning to adapt and accept is the key.

Raising a kid is the most rewarding thing you can imagine. You truly don’t understand love until you have a child and watch him/her grow. I rolled my eyes when I heard this as a young adult, but it’s absolutely true and all the work is worth it.

Marriages have their ups and downs, but as long as you have the right person it’s all worth it in the end.

Yep. Start a thread about spending a pleasant evening with your spouse and it will be off the front page in 30 mins. Post about your spouse fricking a roofing company employee and you're an instant legend.

17 years of marriage, lost my house to a flood, been there done that with financial issues, deaths, and other things I won’t comment on, it’s all part of life. In the grand scheme it’s all just a blip on the radar

Life is much bigger than us. We are nothing but a spec in the big picture

Stop taking yourselves so seriously

I’ve learned that social media has been a negatively impacted relationships in exponential ways. Women and men get on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and look at others glamor shots. This makes them question their marriage, spouse, children, and everything else in their lives. Pretty sad to see people manipulated by fallacies.

It’s a stresser. Many marriages crumble due to such. Glad yours didn’t.

Honestly I was brought up to believe a man should be head of his household but a woman won’t be submissive to someone she doesn’t respect or who does not respect her.

Ladies get your paper too, don’t expect for no man to support you. Mrs. Allen is independent making dough by the caseloads. Hopefully one day we’ll both kick back and relax and grow old with our wealth. The rest is inconsequential.

Man, you really want to drive home how tough it all is for everyone. Just accept that it’s not as hard for some as it is/was for you
