I know most in this thread are lying or live in wealthy areas.
Five guys in LA and Ms have the lowest prices in the country. I know this, I live by one here and went to one yesterday in Huntsville. Their prices were higher, but not higher than any of the other fast casual places around there, it's priced at the market where they are at.
But remember when places like that close or raise their prices astronomically because they can't charge enough to have everyone there at $15+.
This too, add on top of wanting to regulate our red meat production, you get what you vote for.
No diff from chicken places, tenders have gone up too. It's why some places have little shite ones now or just do strips.

Wife got a promotion today and she picked 5 guys to celebrate.
Best tasting burger ive had in a long time. Fries are great as well.
They charge so much because people pay so much. Im cheap as hell. But if one of my kids (or my wife) picks 5 guys, im not complaining. It is a treat. Kind of like Dairy Queen was when i was 10. My parents didnt give it to me every day. But earn a game ball and god damnit we were going to dairy queen.

With that many children, at least one person does not have to do all of the cooking. a couple can man the grill while one does a big pan of fries, etc. 2 can set up cheese, Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, condiments, etc. That leaves 1 to bring mom a beer.

I only eat at Five Guys or Shake Shack if someone else is paying. Both places are too expensive for what you get.
