Probably about the time someone started calling themselves "Rich Homie Quan."

If that’s how they want to celebrate someone’s life I’m not there and it doesn’t bother me.

Hard to beat the Lazy Boy funeral, though.

Sitting in the ghetto thinkin' 'bout
All my homies passed away (uuunnnggghhh!)
Candy painted Cadillacs and triple gold
That's how me and my boys rolled
How could it be?
Somebody took my boy from me
My best friend's gone
And I'm so all alone
And I really miss my homies
Even though you're gone away
I know you're in a better place
And I hope to see you soon someday

I used to hang with my boy, even slang with my boy
I used to bang with my boy, goddamn I miss my boy

You can find common ground with anyone, I too have enjoyed a bag of Doritos, Zebra cake and a cold Barq’s more than once. One of life’s simple pleasures, no matter the occasion.

I imagine this sort of thing has gone on since at least the 80s in the community, and places like Compton etc.

But now, thanks to Twitter, we can stay triggered about random stuff 24/7.
