there are people who drive big trucks because they have a big boat and have yeti's bc they hold ice for 2-3 days. the generalizations about this shite around here is ignorant.

A) Don't buy your daily driver based on the 1 time a year you pull your boat and
B) There isn't a practical reason in the world you need to store ice for 3 days. You know this and I know this, and this is coming from someone who owns a Yeti. I used to be an idiot and caught up in the marketing, but I've seen the err of my ways thanks to the OT.

Most of those have ice makers

Even then there are other options - there certainly were before Yeti's existed.

Don't own a Yeti, but that reasoning is pretty bad. Other options existing before an improvement came along is not a reason to forego the improvement.

So if I only own 1 vehicle, what should I do when I need to tow my boat?

Most D-bags I know drive a silverado that is a couple generations old such as:

Such a stupid commercial. If you throw a loaded down toolbox into any truck bed where it lands that way, it's going to at the very least make a dent.

Plus, truck owners who use their truck for heavy hauling will most likely have a bed liner that would stop the toolbox or landscape bricks from that sort of damage.

All trucks are a dbag status symbol

Fair enough. The bigger point is there are much cheaper options that get the job done. 95% of Yetis are unnecessary, and I own one. His point was that the stereotype is thrown around too loosely and I completely disagree.
