Guy I worked with swears he met Elvis in 1991 in the Tuskegee National forest. Said he had a tent and was sitting by a camp fire.
Said he would not look him in the eye.

I’m sure he was but you just don’t think during that time that a megastar was going to die at 42. I knew he put on a lot of weight but hey ya just never know.

He was also a fan of James Bond movies. He a had cell phone plated with gold inside of a briefcase. Saw phone numbers was with his handwriting. Badass.

The woman who cut my hair for years used to discuss theories as to why Elvis was still alive. She liked playing devil's advocate, so I don't think she believed any of them, but she'd start some compelling arguments with people in the salon.
I suppose if anyone had the means to fake his own death because fame, fortune, and health had caught up to him, it would've been the King.

I think he died last summer. He got Covid.. And since it isn't good for overweight fellas.. It got him.

My parents used to know someone who was convinced Elvis faked his death because he wanted out of the spotlight. The theory was he wanted to retire and not be bothered.
