I just sold something last night, guy paid with PayPal, money is in my account.
FWIW, I have the same Ebay and PayPal account for about 20 years.

Then it hasn't been paid for and you don't need to ship it.

i sell a lot of shite on ebay and the funds only get held lke 20% of the time. not sure what triggers it to be honest. I've had $850 come immediately, I've had $25 get put on hold until shipment received

I did call eBay and their tech support says PayPal is holding it until shipment/receipt of the item. However, if that was the case, why would eBay contradict itself with their message to me?
The guy also used a CC, not a debit or linked bank account.

And there are no signs of any payments in your paypal account? Have the buyer give you the Paypal transaction number

It currently does not show anything pending on the linked paypal account. It's why I am concerned about shipping it.

Yep. Sounds like some wires got crossed between PayPal and Ebay. However you handle it, communicate clearly with the buyer. Be honest about what the issue is and don't accuse them of not paying. Contact PayPal and tell them the issue.

Ebay doesn't use paypal anymore. (Buyers can still use paypal to buy stuff however). They have their own system called managed payments for the sellers.

That's pretty standard. He has to receive it before you get paid. And the payment should show as pending.
But, only 1 feedback? I'd try to get out of that deal. Like it broke or something.

Sellers can definitely still use Paypal. Managed payments isn't full fledged yet

I receive payments from buyers using PayPal, but I haven't had money go in to my PayPal account from an eBay buyer in maybe six months.

I have yet to not receive a Paypal payment in my Paypal account, and I wish I would get moved over to managed payments.
I'm pretty sure the only way you can start doing managed payments is if you receive the application via email and opt in to it right now.

I just went back and looked and I completed the registration in August and have been on managed payments since Sept 1st. I can't remember 100%, but I don't think they gave me an option.
