The mid 80s were likely the best of America, but the decline likely started back in the 50s or 60s. The 24 hours news cycle was a terrible thing and that has morphed into social media and a lot of hate. It ruined journalism too.

Why are you so salty? More like why are you in denial? This country has severe issues and you know it. I love America, this is my home, I want to see our country succeed as much as anyone. But when you take a look around, you can see this country is not what it once was. I think conversations like this can be educational, and lead to conversations where people can talk about how our country can get back to being great again.
