RIP to these confirmed cases of the horribly deadly COVID-19 virus.

Who is saying it’s horribly deadly? Every article I’ve read says the mortality rate is around 2%.

And that’s just the current estimation. Once the data is reconciled and all the mild cases are considered, I’m reading the mortality rate is projected to be under 1%.

I’ve got about 12,000 posts you are welcome to search in my history to find anything I’ve ever said promoting conspiracies. Other than maybe calling people a fricking idiot for believing them, you won’t find anything. Good luck.

Well congrats on posting your first one in this thread then I guess? Don’t really care about your posting history. Was laughing that you said you’re not a conspiracy theorist, then you immediately went on to post one

He shouldn't have used lightning as a comparison obviously, but his point has some validity. We'll have to wait and see, but there seems to be a good chance that the death toll in this country will be pretty minor in comparison to a whole host of dangers we all face every day.

That’s true of all sorts of things. Same is true of death by ptibull attack yet the OT rails against the breed (rightfully so IMO). Same is true of so many things that we mostly agree we should mitigate. The issue with this virus is not only the death rate but the medical delivery system being overwhelmed. If that happens the otherwise preventable deaths go up significantly. This virus is a SARS type virus, attaching to the lungs, reproducing there and causing breathing issue and pneumonia in many victims.

This is not the Spanish Flu that targets mostly young healthy immune systems. I is also not the common cold and because it is a new virus, no one’s immune system is prepare for this. More will be next year, and more after that but the reality we face now is serious. We should take it seriously.
