All the Auburn college females wear those with a long t-shirt and work out shorts. Terrible style.

They float, they're tough as shite, they're comfortable, they fit snug (people actually run in them), etc.
ETA:
They have no velcro like Tevas and are super popular with college kids and outdoorsy people. The SEC campuses and Northwest portion of the country are littered with them.
