Took 3 months for each of my kids full paid leave. At the end of the day, if you leave that benefit on the table, I don’t see how you wouldn’t regret that decision.
Very rarely do you get to slow down and spend that much time with your child - unencumbered, full on dad.

My opinion is….if some get it,everyone should get it. Just because I chose not to have kids, why should I have to work another 6 months to a year extra in my career? I mean, why not give everyone 6 months of pto to be taken in in one stint, to be taken sometime in your career?
Truth told, I am not in favor of any of that socialistic-they bullshite. However if you are gonna do it, let’s be fair about it
I'm guessing you don't take any sick leave, get any employer match for a 401k, have an employer sponsored healthcare plan or take any annual leave? frick all that socialist bullshite amirite?

Who the hell is going to watch a 7 day old baby when mom goes back to work? Find me a legit childcare facility that would. I’ll wait

My wife didn't even leave the hospital for 3 days.... I basically ended up taking almost a month and in no way felt like I was milking it between taking care of her and meeting my first born son...frick off w 3 days

Grow up, moron. Terrible take. I know my wife greatly appreciated me being home for a couple weeks after her c section for our second kid. I enjoyed that time as well adjusting to the new addition.

Our company gives 19 weeks of maternity leave and 4 weeks paternity leave now. When I had kids 15 years ago I had to take a vacation to have time off

you could negotiate with your employer
"sir, this job offer looks good but women are repulsed by me, i don't plan on having kids. in lieu of the paternity leave, i would like x"
