What's your gas bill during winter months?

Just got my gas bill, and it's $213. The meter was read BEFORE the arctic blast hit around New Years.
My house is 2200 square feet. Certainly not very large. We do have a gas stove, but our water heater is electric.
This is our first winter in this house, and the bill seems excessive. It was $164 last month, which I thought was high too. I keep the thermostat at 67, so it's not like we're running a sauna.

Mine is usually about $50 during the winter and $10 during the summer. I only have the heater, hot water heater and stove running gas though

My last one was about $50. 2000 sf w/ gas water heater and stove. Most of the year its around $15-20

Last one was a little over $70. My wife likes to keep the house like an ice box though.

Ours was $17 last month. But, I don't think we really count.

Do you have contact info for the previous owner? Call them and see what their bill was during the winter.

Right, but this bill reflects the time period before the true arctic weather hit. So that would mean next month's bill will be even higher.
I'm in a medium sized house. One story. Thermostat at 67. Think I'll be calling them soon. In fact, I smell natural gas now...they better get out here fast!

Ours is usually $25 a month year round. But we only had gas for water heater.

I’m joking. But for $213/month for moderate usage and telling my wife to put on more clothes when she’s cold, they better feel obligated to come out to check that everything is in working order.
