Family reunion every year for the last 15 years

Don't have one, but starting this year it is going to be me cooking a rack of lamb. I will also do this at Christmas and Thanksgiving

Mock the idea that someone else did it for you.
Thanks. Hope you enjoy it.
Not sure how that pertains to myself though.

Holy Thursday night: Have everyone -- friends, family and neighbors - over to our house for a big pot of Gumbo Z'Herbes (gumbo with greens). I make it myself with seven different greens for good luck; andouille, & tasso. Adults drinking lots of beer and wine, yakking it up, kids all over the place.
Good Friday: day off from work, day of fast and abstinence (keeping it real); usually one regular small meal in late evening. Usually do some stuff around house (including clean-up from night before), maybe see a movie.
Holy Saturday: Lent is over, so partake of whatever I gave up for Lent. Have the first Gin and Tonic of the season. If the weather is decent, head over to Miss. Gulf Coast either to play golf or go out on the boat.
Easter Sunday: Wake up, break out the seersucker for the season, and go to church. Then over to my sister's house for the annual Easter crawfish boil all afternoon. We used to do an Easter egg hunt for the kids there, but they are all too big for that now.

Get drunk and either go on a four wheeler ride or if it's warm enough break out my ski boat for the first time of the year

Don't really have much of an Easter tradition. My extended family has a think, its more like a family reunion.. But it's always someone different so it's not like we all go to the same place every year to do the same thing. The only thing they do every year is have an easter egg hunt for the kids, but even that causes issues.
It's a big family so if they plan an easter egg hunt at a certain time then there are some people who get upset because they will not arrive until a certain time, but then there are those who plan on leaving before the other people arrive so I don't really get too involved. On good friday we boil crawfish with immediate family. I rather that than Easter Sunday.

We watch Br'er Rabbit, Peter Cottontail and Bugs Bunny to keep with the make believe motif of the holiday.

This isn’t a bad idea.
Easter used to be a big deal but now that the family is split since Katrina and we are the only ones in Texas we don’t do much. Add to it that my brother works Sunday so they won’t do Easter stuff for my niece until he gets home at like 7. So I have time for golf if they are open.

It is. Went last year for first time. I did enjoy it. I went alone and was able to spend an hour and half reflecting. It’s a somber experience and good for the soul. I’ll be back this year
