My mom telling me if I didn't start acting right in the front seat of the buggy, she'd tell my dad and I'd get whooped.

Mine was rubbing my junk on the fresh produce as a child. Little Perm was a freak.

Getting grounded for two weeks for pocketing one of those giant jawbreakers out of the candy section at age eight.

Never heard of Wal-Mart as a kid.

And to add, riding underneath the shopping cart

Mom would tell me to make sure to get the cheese that worked with her EBT card. Then we would get into our Escalade and go buy lobster.

Going to Schwegmanns with my mawmaw on Saturdays in the early 80s. Every once in a while I would see her spend $100 and have shite falling out the buggy.

My dad stopping at the bar at Schwegmann’s and getting a toy at the Real Super Store. I remember Real Super Store advertising 4 cent specials for 4th of July.

I remember our local grocery store, I think it was a Piggly Wiggly at the time had a bad arse prize egg machine with a chicken inside of it that started clucking and flapping its wings when your prize was coming out.

They also had a video rental section where you picked out a little picture of the movie you wanted and brought it to them to get the VHS. I remember one time I got conned into renting that drug-free special with all the Saturday morning cartoon characters in it. I mean it had Garfield AND The Ninja Turtles on the picture.

Probably when I was like 5 or so and I tried to steal an action figure from the grocery store, not exactly knowing what stealing was at such an age.

After my parents took the toy back to the store, they made damn sure that I was aware of the concept and that it was wrong.
