Awesome! What's your experience in RB and that portion specifically?
Aaaand, if it works out, I promise I'd keep the lawn pretty.
Do you know if they've started allowing private tours yet?
We've been here since 1997 and have enjoyed it. I work downtown so its ideal for me.
Pretty much everything said in the thread is accurate. I can't think of anywhere in BR I would rather live.
The biggest problem can be getting home after a football game.
I know someone was looking at it yesterday afternoon.

Dang. Only I'm allowed to be interested. I hate competition.

Agree to cut my grass for the next couple of summers and I can put in a good word for you.

I'm one who lived in RB.....
And moved down the same street.
Owned an epic house on Belle Grove. Lived in RB for 11 years. I hate myself for leaving the state and selling that house.
We used to have multi-family bbq's or crawfish boils 1-2 times a week.
Great times in RB!

I used to hunt deer over there.
I know a couple of people who live there. I'd live in the older part with the bigger lots, but not the newer part with smaller houses and lots

Haha, I'll think about it! If your yard's anything like the yard of the home in question, that's quite a task. Especially with a push mower.

I have no idea where y'all are talking about. I thought this was going to be a thread about St. Charles & Carrollton.

Thanks for supporting the home team, but never going to school there

Skip and Sandy live in River Bend.
Back in the 80s pretty much all of the prominent LSU coaches and athletic department staff lived there. In Bob Brodhead's book he mentions Arnsparger walking to his house to file complaints about stuff.

Didn't they even used to have a Mardi Gras parade back in the 90s?
I hear that they have coyotes roaming around the subdivision at night now these days.

If you buy that White House on twelve oaks, you will have awesome next door neighbors. At least on the riverbend blvd side. The couple that lives in the house for sale bought a house down the street.

Neighborhood surronded by junk college housing. I understand the appeal 20 years ago but not so much past 1999ish.

I heard they let a black guy move in. So yeah.....

What changed past 1999ish?

Probably around the time all the college housing started being developed.
I see where they're coming from - Brightside starts out as a pretty ugly street, but then promptly evolves into a beautiful neighborhood area as soon as you pass "The Zone."
