It's been longer that 10 years since you've been to a movie. Probably 20.

They make more of their money from concessions. Most people who don't live under a rock know that.

Some of you may scoff at me, but use the DIY kiosk and order a child's ticket from now on and save $2 per ticket. I go to the movies once a month and have never been called out on it.

eta: I also usually bring my own bottle of water and just buy a popcorn or something.

$2 is a cheap price to pay for some ethics and dignity.

Sounds like you make bad decisions. I could go to a movie and get a drink and popcorn today for 11.

Serious question... what is it about these concessions that make the experience better? Why do people line up in droves for them?
