How is the person not having a tracking device on their child the paranoid one?

Have you seen his posts? Go read em, that's how.

He thinks every single child of a parent with that app will live with their parents until they're in their 30s and the children's lives are completely ruined, and they'll never be able to function as a normal human. Those aren't my spins, that is all what he specifically told us that he thinks, without hyperbole.

Does that NOT sound like the incoherent ramblings of a paranoid person to you? I think we can go ahead and agree to disagree if you don't see it that way, and I feel pretty good about the side I'm on on this one.

In my world I view the things I love worth protecting. My wife 1 and my kids 2. My wife does not need tracked, she is a grown woman who makes her own rules and has her own responsibilities.

My kids have not earned the right to do as they please, when they please. If the thought of me knowing where they are, how fast they are going, or when they got somewhere helps guide them into the correct decisions...I dont see that as a bad thing.

"We never had it, so I dont need it" is a looney position. I doubt your kids are out working the fields, getting married at 16 and having kids at 17 as our great great grandparents did either. So you evolve in most areas of your life, but not one that can help protect one of your most loved things you have.

and the ankle bracelet analogy....damn that is pretty stupid.

Because it's not, because you're viewing this rationally

Yea, I didn't get that argument from poster JohnnyKilroy at all. I bet Johnny has a cell phone, smart TV, and all kinds of stuff that would be considered fancy tech shite that he didn't have in the 80s and 90s, so I don't really get the logic that "we grew up without it."

Johnny grew up without a cell phone, does he apply that logic and not have a cell phone in 2023 and only has a landline?

Does JohnnyKilroy have wifi? Because we all grew up and were perfectly fine without it.

It just doesn't make sense. If you don't want the app, that's perfectly fine. Hell, if you don't want the app for that reason, that's cool too. But you can't really argue that it's terribly logical.

Seat belts were more of an optional thing in the 70s and 80s...does JohnnkKilroy still stand by that and maybe sometimes he does and sometime he doesn't put his kids in seat belts?

Well yea, that dude is legit paranoid.

No. They are living away at college. My daughters said they feel safer knowing we can find them if something ever went wrong. My son has a health condition and I suspect he feels the same way.

You're not guiding them into making good decisions. You're making the decision for them because they know that you will know if they go somewhere you don't approve of. You may as well be driving them around still.

Because they're retarded and are projecting. I mean wanna talk about paranoid. Just look at how defensive they've gotten over a stranger on the internet who thinks a tracking app is bad. Of course it doesn't help that I'm arguing with a bunch of women. I should've known better than to lower myself down to their level.

You came into this thread immediately from your first posts more defensive than anyone in this entire thread.

Par for the course. We know he doesn't give 2 shits about his kids, why would he think women are on his level.

The paranoid is strong in this one.

You must be lying, the paranoid poster told us EVERY single kid whose parents used this app would live with their parents into their 30s!!

I’ll take my results.

I have the three independent thinkers. They’re good students. The first off to college at 17, an engineer at NASA at 21, living in Houston

You can keep being a drama queen all you want. I’ll keep taking care of my kids. Everyday.

This is dude's very first post and first statement in this thread:
quote:

I have 15 and 17 year old boys and would never consider using it. It's fricking weird as shite and everyone who uses it is the definition of a helicopter parent. There's no debating it. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

And he's telling folks they're being defensive. :rotflmao

Dude who claimed others were being defensive is now taking unsolicited shots at people who are saying positive things about their own daughters, but h's going to try and reply and tell us that's not being defensive.
