What's the silliest reason you've seen someone get offended?

My girlfriend's mom gets super offended if you try to disagree with her in front of other people. She will pull you aside afterwards and try to get you to apologize for embarrassing her.

Being offended is a weakness. Although everyone is offended at some point, it is still an emotional weakness. Being offended stems from insecurities. If a person is completely secure they would not be offended.

Not always true, if someone puts you on the spot in front of ppl, at work lets say in front of clients to make you look bad or them better at your expense they are going to get a talking to. Not sure that quite falls in the offended category though.

Ex got offended yesterday because I offered her some references by email for a medical condition a mutual acquaintance said she was dealing with.

Mexican gf in middle school got offended because I said she was Mexican. Not in a derogatory way, just in a matter of fact kind of way

A girl I worked with got upset that one of the bosses called another girl a pit bull because she was a real go getter. Said it was offensive to call a woman such a thing.
