My dad just died at 84. He was pretty good until around 80. The last 4 years were not particularly great for him or anyone else. I’m thinking all things being equal 80 would be ok.

I’m 58 and I wish it would happen now.

That’s what my dad said. He lived to 94.

Not wanting to sound like I know all that but I will say that since my stroke and how close I came to death and now really realizing my mortality knowing that I'm gonna die sooner since I've had the stroke then I was going to before then because I was really healthy
I welcome death, if life is what and will be these last three years have been.
but I'm not in a rush to get there because I'm loving the challenge it is getting better so slowly even though I know I'm never going to get as good as I want to be
death is pretty good when you reach that point

At this point, I think I’ll be lucky to make it to 70.
I once had a paramedic friend tell me that “dying is the easy way out”….I’ve come to understand what he meant as I’ve gotten older.

Mid 70s would be a blessing
The OP’s question is subjective: if you’re in terrible pain and shape at 30, then it’s 30.
If everything is good with you at age 70, it’s somewhere past 80 or 90.

Well, I am 86 and ready to go when called, however, preferably not for another ten days or so. My wife and I are going to Minnesota for a week of fishing with my eldest sons family. He decided that should be our annual Fathers Day celebration.
Don't give up until you have to. Old age and it's accompanying difficulties can be a bitch but there are still those bright spots such as great grandchild #13 and our #14 is scheduled to arrive on our 59th wedding anniversary.

I’m not expecting to live past 70.
Anything over that is a bonus.

I can’t predict what the death panels are going to rule.

As long as I die before my kids, I don’t care if it’s tomorrow. Granted, It helps knowing where you will spend eternity.

I would love to live (healthy) until I’m 85-90. But if something does happen to where my family has to suffer, I would want to go quickly.

I need to be able to recognize my wife and go to the bathroom by myself.
Either of those go and I am done.

I've told my wife when I get to the point I can't wipe my own arse, she's allowed to pull the plug or smother me with a pillow.
