What's the OT's best mosquito defense for the back yard?

They hardly ever bother me. I can be standing next to somebody being eaten alive and not get bit at all.

They did a study and found people of Mediterranean decent have the most attractive blood to mosquitos.

no it doesn't. I get eaten alive and I'm Scotch/Irish. I don' know what the formula is. My friend is Italian and they leave him alone.

They only bite my ankles, and I'm mostly white. When I do get bitten, the bites go away in about 10 minutes.
Some people just have tougher skin than others either from genetics or being outside their whole lives. Those people don't have problems. I've worked outside my whole life, and spend a good bit of time outside. My parent's are both fair skinned and have problems, but I have a permanent tan and don't get bit.

I used to get swarmed in my yard. Saw someone on here suggest Talstar Pro so I sprayed it everywhere...on the bushes, fence, siding, grass and I hardly see any. It says to reapply every 3 weeks to a month.

I put in a mosquito misting system. The company that makes the system is called MistAway. It is a plastic 55 gallon drum with a 1/2 hp motor that sits on top. It also has a computer system that allows custom programming of times and lengths of mists.
It will range in price depending on how many nozzle heads and the length of tubing you get.
The chemical concentrate used is called Sector and is $125/gallon and during the summer I go through a gallon every 3 weeks.
I have been through every other known mosquito abatement systems known before shelling out for a mister.
It works by knocking out the habitat of the Mosquitos...they live where they breed, so if you can kill the breeding, you will greatly reduce their population. I find it is about 80% or so effective. You just can't get them all.
