This must be fundraiser season because I have been asked to buy candy a few times in the past 2 or 3 weeks, but someone I know (i'd say a friend but everyone knows I don't have any) told me one of their coworkers asked them to buy a candle that was $15.

He might be exaggerating because $15 for a candle seems ridiculous for a fundraiser, but that's just me saying he is exaggerating because it seems like a lot for something that random, but anyone has ever been asked to buy something for a fundraiser that is more than.. a few bucks?

20.00 for a 9 oz bag of White Cheddar popcorn for Boy Scouts

Seems like more schools are getting away from Worlds Finest & wrapping paper fundraisers for bigger ticket items that bring more money

I have family members who sold mattresses for a school fundraiser a couple years ago. By far the most expensive and confusing school fundraiser I've heard of.

Jesus! That must be a money maker.. Popcorn is cheap as hell.. The boy scouts had to be getting at least $10 for each bag they sold.

Yeah, there was a local elementary/middle school that did this for two or three years in a row. I never heard of that until then, but there is a huge markup on mattresses, but its not something people are going to buy just because its a fundraiser, but they could probably make more money selling 4 or 5 mattresses than if they got all the kids to sell $1-$2 candy bars.

I don't know if anyone here watches "The Profit", but a few years ago there was this woman who had a popcorn stand that was located right next to Disneyland.. I think the woman who owned it had a huge contract with Disney.. She ended up fricking up, but just because she was shite at managing... But after that I was curious about how profitable popcorn is.. And its a goldmine. Especially if a 9oz bag is selling for $20.

Here is a link about the business,

Obviously it doesn't interest you so why the frick did you feel the need to come in it and bitch about it?

It does make you really cool that you did it.

Went to a party last night and each couple brought a new bike to donate to a local charity that gives them to kids. It was a 5k fun run too.

I get it.. I am in a wheelchair.. whatever, but how is this even funny?

That would be like if you started a thread asking something and I responded with something you have. It just comes off as trying way too hard.

I don't care if you believe me or not, but I put 0 value in up or down votes. Sometimes when I notice my thread is getting a lot of downvotes I downvote it myself just to see if I can get more than 60 or 70 downvotes, but I don't upvote my own post. I upvoted your post I am responding to just because... But I hate to inform you.. upvote/downvote has no impact on me whatsoever..
