My dad got me nice compound bow when I was a kid. Used the shite out of that thing.

I got a clock for an old Soviet MiG as a gift last year. They also had a stand made for it and it’s on my desk now. Thing is awesome.

Nothing stands out specifically, but it would’ve had to be some kind of firearm. Worked with a dude who paid me on each project then threw in a firearm as lagniappe. Nothing fancy. Mostly the old Walther P38s in good to excellent condition. He was buying them 10 or 20 at a time—probably averaging $150 apiece back then—and he’d toss me one of those every few months. He also came across a trove of Czechoslovakian rifles, so I ended up with a half-dozen myself. For some reason, those weapons never went through FFL (from the foreign seller to my buddy), so SWIM has a small arsenal of weapons never reported/registered. Allegedly. At least until that boat accident.

Depending on the friend and the price expectations, I’d probably buy someone a well-made pocketknife.
