Is this our next Cold War? Is it our next hot war? Do we stand a chance against them if it is? Or are we too beholden in them to produce our Own goods to Remain autonomous should things with them escalate further.

I love how people think the Chinese have a shot in a war. One chance in three at best.

A war between us and china would wreck both parties. Wont happen though because both countries economies are dependent on each other.

So a 33% chance we'll be eating bats in 10 years?

The CCP leadership basically keeps doing whatever they want, with zero fricks given about the rest of humanity.

My question exactly.
Intention?
Aspiration?
Goal?

Fall-Out
We go to war in 2077.
We go to war in 2077.

Many of us are going into Chinese restaurants and just beating ownership and staff up.

if you think one in three to win, suppose they lose but 18 hydrogen bombs hit us targets and one is lake charles and one is the complex of plants from br to new orleans.
one is bossier sac base.
hows your day then?
you cant see nuclear war as winning. millions die in a clear win. 50 million die in a close win.
you need to read up on the damage from one hydrogen bomb on wichita ks (they make planes).

It has BEEN a Cold War, just a one- way Cold War. It is time we identify it for what it is, a coercive totalitarian regime that has made the world subservient to their goods and markets via their State run phony capitalism. It’s time for the West and other democracies to call them out for what they are, and stop letting them get away with it. This is the same government that killed 40 million of their own citizens in a two year period of the last century. A country that has as many as two million religious minority Muslims in prison camps. A country that gives its citizens an Orwellian social score.
Their loss of face on the international stage has been catastrophic. We should hold their feet to the fire on the public stage. Not poke them with the stick , but stand there unapologetically with the stick.
The Chinese are not stupid enough to engage us with a hot war, which would also likely be a war against South Korea and Japan and also completely sink their economy. They will just continue to do what Communists always do- FAIL their citizens and the world spectacularly. They just want to hold serve and guarantee their own power. Knowing that, we should Let them know we will shift our manufacturing with the quickness as leverage while at the same time demanding political reform . Make no mistake, they ARE our Overwhelming primary Geopolitical enemy and rival.

Neither.
I think we bring back a great portion of our farmed out manufacturing, and we slowly, deliberately squeeze their economy like a great big pimple, until nothing comes out any longer. Then our magnificent, orange bastard proclaims victory, and chy-na returns to the 3rd world shithole it deserves...
