What’s the deal with the lane closure on I-12 every night?

When I go home at night, seems like almost every night (sometimes they’ll skip a night or so, usually weekends), they close the left lane going into BR from about Millerville to Airline on I-12. It’s been going on forever but I’ve yet to see anything different about the lane.

They are just practicing in case they have to close it down for a legitimate reason.

I'm sure corruption is somehow involved.

I actually saw them working last night. They were indeed patching the many potholes on that inside lane if I-12. It’s odd how the inside lane in both directions has a lot more potholes in it than the other lanes.

I-20 between Ruston and Shreveport has been "Under Construction" for 30 years.
