What's the deal with Scott Innes and his "benefit concerts"?

Seems like he's always doing some benefit concert with the most washed up country artists. Does he really raise any money and how much is really given to the charity/organization?
If it's all legit, more power to him. Just something I've always wondered. I see posters of his shared on Facebook all the time.

I honestly have no idea what is going on with that guy. I think they fired him from radio right when I moved away. I remember because I switched back to 101.5 when they finally let him go.
