Bacchus. Endymion is a great spectacle, we will chaperone the band in Endymion.

Have been helping a costume designer the last couple weeks, the Endymion costumes for the maskers are nice, and will look pretty good. The Bacchus costumes are beautiful, they're lined, both tunics and pants, and blow the Endymion costumes out of the water.

We put the E. costumes on racks in alpha order by float. Bacchus has their own heavy racks, and has valets to help their riders don their costumes.

Believe it or not, Bacchus is also less expensive to join, like half.

I like the Bacchus parade better but ride in Endymion. I've been on my float 19 years and ride with guys that I was in Residency with and brought on a few friends. The preparade is a blast and details are confidential but it is my favorite part of Mardi Gras

Endymion has valets help with costumes as well. Has every year, also you’re saying it’s $500 to be in Bacchus? I don’t believe that.

I love Endymion, but partial to Bacchus. I ride on and off in Bacchus. A lot of people don't realize Emeril is a private member of Bacchus. On the float I ride, Tory McPhail who's the executive chef at commanders rides with us. He also hosts a dinner for the crew at the restaurant. The guy that invented Boudreaux's butt paste rides with us as well. Hail Bacchus!!

Bacchus because you don't have to stake out your spot six weeks in advance. Those Mid-City people get one parade, and they take it waaaaay too seriously.

Bacchus is more exclusive. Endymion has gotten to the point where they let just anyone join. My family has quit riding in Endymion and quit attending the shitshow that they call the Extravaganza. They will ride in Bacchus next year.

To get in both, all you need is to know a member. So neither are super exclusive, also if it cost $5000 to be in Bacchus, good lord. After first year, ENDY is $1000. Endymion all day over Bacchus.

I meant for the whole ride. It's about $3k for dues and throws.

I think the uptown route is superior to mid city. We always have to go out of our way to enjoy other parades on the same day as Endymion because its all the way up in Mid City. Also Bacchus has far more original signature floats. Pontchartrain beach is cool but I'll take the Kongs, Gator, Whale, and Dinosaur all day over PB. Endymion also just seems like a group of blow hards.

Endymion is an all-day affair. And God forbid one Krewe parade in a neighborhood besides Uptown. City Park/Orleans/Carrollton section is freaking awesome. I've ridden in both, and nothing compares to the neutral ground on Orleans.

No, I'm not saying it's $500.
Maybe double? At least according to the krewe member I had discussions with. It's ALL too much for me.

Does your whole family wear fedoras, smoke vape pens, drink coffee ironically, and wax their mustaches.

I have no idea why people are shitting on the Extravaganza. Million Dollar entertainment and a parade and all night party in the Dome? What's not to like?

It is all a matter of personal preference, but many people do not like the Extravaganza because they think it lacks any exclusivity. It is too big for some people, and it really appears to basically be open to the public.

At the end of the day, it is all about personal preference.

Dude, the Bacchus Rendezvous is open to the public...
Matter of fact, you can win tickets for it this year at Haydell Bakery..lol

Yes it does suck that the Extravaganza has gotten bigger, but the krewe makes some serious money from it... Endymion is constantly upgrading their floats...

I did prefer it being at the 13K mark with just people on the floor....
