I know it's a Facebook cliche, but I would have to say watching my kids grow up. So many memories, and it's far more rewarding than anything a career can offer.

Varies wildly by person I’m sure. For some people it’s a purpose, such as spreading religion and ideology, teaching and mentoring young people, or serving the community. For others it’s various pleasures, such as girls, drugs, etc. For others, it’s sheer power and accumulation and the feeling you get when you command attention and have huge piles of cash.

Moments like walking with my wife yesterday in the evening watching our little boys catch fireflies.
Also, the post about family and being able to pay bills reminded me of this John Anderson line:
"I've got a few good friends,
and my bills are paid,
I've got the moon and stars above,
I've got it made"

My god, you're really out-doucheing yourself in this thread. Someone made a simple joke about your predictions never coming true and you're flipping out like a tiny dicked short man trying to overcompensate

Paul and S are cuddle buddies. I don't think there's room for another.

For me, sex, travel, family/friends, a good drink, and nature and happy things in my life.

You sure do act tough for a 60+ year old man that's probably wearing boat shoes right now. Like a yappy little Chihuahua

Passion and the opportunity to pursue it.
Passion for your spouse or your lover or your vocation or your principles or your family or your children or your hobbies or beauty or women or whatever speaks to you.
Finding your passions, the things you really love, and being blessed with the opportunity to pursue them and revel in them is what makes life enjoyable. Those passions will differ from person to person, or over time within a single individual's life. But a life without passions is just a dusty wait for death. And a life where one has passions but cannot pursue them is torment.
